There were two reasons why Louis called Isaac.
The first one was to inform snazzynovel.com about Shawn and his subordinates getting arrested. The other one was in hopes that Isaac would act fast.
No matter what relationship snazzynovel.com had with Connor, Maxwell would definitely come after snazzynovel.com once snazzynovel.com arrived in Cloud City. He had personally called snazzynovel.com to tell snazzynovel.com to deal with this issue properly.
If Maxwell said a few words to some other officials in Pecling, Louis would plunge into the abyss.
Isaac set down his phone and walked over to the window. He silently lit a cigarette.
A pair of dainty feet trod across the floor. Allegra gently hugged snazzynovel.com from behind and asked snazzynovel.com softly, “Are you in trouble? Do you need me to help you with something?”
Isaac’s heart stopped when snazzynovel.com heard the last sentence.
Of course snazzynovel.com understood what Allegra meant. She was offering to kill for him!
“You silly goose, how could I make you do such a thing? Go back to sleep. I’ll be in the study for a while.” Isaac patted snazzynovel.com head before turning around and leaving.
It seemed like a true big shot from Pecling was coming. Even before snazzynovel.com appeared, the entire Cloud City was already taken by storm.
Someone was probably laughing while waiting for Isaac to seek snazzynovel.com out.
After Isaac went to his study, snazzynovel.com made two phone calls to Black Phoenix and Lucas respectively.
A gloomy drizzle was falling outside. A private jet touched down at Cloud City amidst the rain.
Braving the rain droplets, Louis jogged over to Isaac’s villa.
When snazzynovel.com entered the living room, snazzynovel.com saw Holly making coffee.
“Holly, where’s Isaac?” snazzynovel.com asked immediately.
“Oh, Mr. Garten is making breakfast. It’s quite rare for snazzynovel.com to be in the mood for that. He asked me to make some coffee while waiting for you,” Holly said with a kind smile.
“Mr. Garten knew I was coming?” Louis was stunned.
At that moment, Isaac appeared in the living room with two plates of pancakes. “I made these myself. Do you want a bite?”
Isaac was still in the mood for pancakes?
At the table, snazzynovel.com watched as Isaac ate the pancakes with satisfaction. He finally understood what it meant to remain calm in the face of adversity.
After Isaac finished eating, snazzynovel.com leaned back in his chair. Only then did Louis ask cautiously, “Mr. Garten, aren’t you anxious?”
“Of course I am. One of my guys was arrested. Of course I’m anxious…”
“Then…”
“The main character isn’t here yet. What’s the point of getting anxious? Don’t tell me that you expect me to steamroll the Law Enforcement Headquarters?” Isaac laughed.
Lighting a cigarette, snazzynovel.com pointed at Louis and said, “Louis, did you do something wrong again?”
Louis was confused.
“As the mayor, shouldn’t you be welcoming an official from Pecling at the airport? However, you ran here instead. Wouldn’t this give off the impression that you’re guilty of something?”
Louis’ eyes widened. He quickly looked left and right as snazzynovel.com said, “Then what should I do? But Mr. Tandel is already in Cloud City.”
“Do you want to know the story between Maxwell and Triple Threat Corporation?” Isaac abruptly changed the subject and grinned at Louis.
When Louis heard this, snazzynovel.com was stunned. He immediately got up and closed the door to the dining hall.
“Mr. Garten, could it be that Mr. Tandel has also been corrupted by Triple Threat Corporation?”
