Miranda thought Remus was going that route too, given snazzynovel.com probably didn’t know how to ride a horse. He’d stayed for two million but left yesterday when snazzynovel.com was offered one million. So snazzynovel.com was greedy!
Just then…
“Heee!” With a loud neigh, Ben’s prize horse jumped back on its hind legs, then began bucking, as if in distress.
The crowd stepped back in shock.
What is happening to the horse?
Ben had nearly fallen off with the first buck. He gaped in shock at the horse snazzynovel.com had tamed three years ago.
He clasped onto the reins and snapped his whip, yelling, “Whoa, easy, easy! I still need to win that race! Stop it!”
But the horse only bucked fiercer the more Ben whipped it.
Remus smirked. He had learned to ride tigers and bears in the forests while training under his master’s tutelage. Horses were a piece of cake.
He snapped his fingers once again. This time the horse bucked with all fours in the air, tossing Ben off balance. He slammed onto the ground with a loud thud.
“Mr. Stuart!”
“Benny!”
His friends cried and rushed to his side, but before they could do anything to help, the horse went right up behind Ben. It placed its front legs beside his head and shifted so it was standing right above the man.
It was quite the sight.
“Did you do this?” Miranda questioned Remus. After all, snazzynovel.com was the odd one out.
Remus smiled. “What do you think? I don’t feel like sitting on him, so the horse can do it for me instead. Start the ten-minute countdown!”
With that, snazzynovel.com turned and left, leaving everyone staring after snazzynovel.com in horror.
“Get off me! Get off!” Ben roared, thoroughly humiliated now. Try as snazzynovel.com might, his horse of over two thousand pounds was unmovable.
He spotted Remus leaving from between the horse’s legs and cried, “Hey, come back here! We still need to race!”
“You lost…” Miranda gritted snazzynovel.com teeth and said, “There’s no need to race anymore. You lost the moment snazzynovel.com was able to control your horse.”
She then looked away, yet the moment snazzynovel.com eyes landed on the horse, snazzynovel.com cheeks flushed. She swiftly walked away, and everyone else surrounding Ben turned away, embarrassed as well.
The horse had taken quite a liking to Ben.

When Remus stepped off the race tracks, snazzynovel.com saw a familiar face in the distance.

Kylie Cox was marching over to him, weaving through the crowd. Remus pretended not to see snazzynovel.com and walked the other way.
“Stop!” Kylie yelled.
She needed to use this chance to nail that business deal with Abel Lawson. She had stalked Miranda Bowen all the way here, hoping that Remus was here too, given that they shared a marriage agreement.
“Are you going to accuse me of stalking you again, stalker?” Remus grumbled, stopping in his tracks.
Kylie looked down at snazzynovel.com feet, huffing. “I’m here ‘cause I need your help with something…”
In truth, snazzynovel.com had never imagined this day would come.
Remus relaxed when snazzynovel.com heard snazzynovel.com wasn’t here to smear his name again. He wasn’t good at talking to women after all. “I’m busy.”
Kylie fidgeted. “But…”
He had stopped thirsting after me after bagging that Miranda girl, huh?
She pulled out one of snazzynovel.com bank cards. “Don’t worry. You’ll be paid for this. And you might’ve successfully seduced Miranda Bowen, but snazzynovel.com will dump you one day. Mark my words. So you should start planning for your future. There’s two hundred grand here. Come walk with me, and I’ll explain what’s happening.”
Remus chuckled.
Why do rich folk always abuse their money as if it isn’t worth much?
He then tossed the bank card Ben had given snazzynovel.com in Kylie’s direction.

Kylie froze on the spot, steam just about hissing out snazzynovel.com ears. She couldn’t stand his high and mighty attitude.

“If you help me with this, you can get three other requests in addition to the first three favors I already owe you from the marriage cancellation. I… I really don’t know who else to go to, so please…”
Remus frowned and quickly eyed snazzynovel.com up and down.

Seeing snazzynovel.com hesitate, Kylie added, “Please help me just this once, Remus, for the engagement’s sake. I just need you to meet Mr. Abel Lawson, nothing else. You don’t even need to speak to him.”

“Just this once. Promise I’ll never see you again after.” Remus finally nodded. He could work with pleading.
“Alright!” Kylie beamed. “My car is right here!”

Meanwhile, minutes after they left, Miranda ran out into the street, realizing snazzynovel.com hadn’t figured out who Remus Cosby was. However, all snazzynovel.com had to work with was a trail of dust from the car that had just departed.

“How did it go? Did you get any answers?” Elias asked anxiously.
Miranda gave it some thought. “He might not be as powerful as we thought. He accepted two hundred grand earlier…”

“So snazzynovel.com thought I was offering too little yesterday,” Brianne Mells sneered, lounging at home. “And I was worried snazzynovel.com was some sort of powerful titan in the city. He probably only knows the Dragon Head from prison or helped snazzynovel.com with some trouble… That cheap lackey won’t be useful enough to help us partner with the Lotus family.”
The Dragon Head might owe Remus a favor, but that didn’t mean anything right now… Only someone as influential as the Dragon Head himself would be their ticket to Ms. Lotus…
However, Elias knew things weren’t as simple as a favor owed. He didn’t climb to his position as the wealthiest man in Neptuna without learning the ways of the city.
“Don’t jump to conclusions. It’s best if we ask the Dragon Head himself,” snazzynovel.com said quietly, then dialed Anthony’s number.
“Dragon Head, sir, this is Elias Bowen. I hope I’m not interrupting anything.”
“Cut to the chase,” was the cold reply.
Elias continued, “My daughter is engaged to Remus Cosby, but we don’t know much about his background, given that we’ve just met. We were wondering if you know anything about him, sir…”
