The Ninja Lord nodded briefly, and Isaac broke into a smile.
Although the Scarlet Luna Shot had gravely injured his body, at least it was not all in vain. With a relieved sigh, Isaac let himself fall to the ground and passed out.
He didn’t know how long snazzynovel.com ended up staying on the ground, but when snazzynovel.com came to his senses, snazzynovel.com was still lying in the same spot in the underground room while the Ninja Lord kept watch over the body next to him. She had covered the body with some clothing items, but it still lay on the ground, unmoving.
Isaac’s lower abdomen was in great pain. It was a sign of internal injury in his power core. He gritted his teeth and got up before treading over to the Ninja Lord.
“Why isn’t snazzynovel.com up yet?” Isaac asked, wiping away the crusted blood from the corner of his lips.
The Ninja Lord frowned and said, “Try calling snazzynovel.com and see…”
“Emily, wake up… It’s me, Isaac,” snazzynovel.com said, kneeling down by the body as snazzynovel.com tried to wake snazzynovel.com up. He even held snazzynovel.com hands and shook snazzynovel.com a few times.
However, there was no response from the body. Isaac felt agitated. His voice started getting louder and louder.
“Why is snazzynovel.com still not waking up? Didn’t you say that it worked?” Isaac coldly asked as snazzynovel.com glared at the Ninja Lord.
He didn’t necessarily have a good relationship with the Ninja Lord. After all, they were just using each other. However, Emily hadn’t returned, and yet he’d sacrificed so much for it all to be in vain. Isaac was finding it hard to control his emotions at this point.
“Watch your tone with me,” the Ninja Lord shot back at him. Then, snazzynovel.com sighed and said, “I’m sure it was successful. I personally created that Soul-Locking Talisman. As long as we managed to lock snazzynovel.com spirit with it, Lady Os could not bring snazzynovel.com away. Maybe we should just wait a while longer…”
There was a hint of uncertainty in snazzynovel.com voice nonetheless.
If it hadn’t been for Roy barging in the middle of the spell, things would never have turned out like this. Also, just before snazzynovel.com completed the spell, the spirit of Lady Os had already surrounded snazzynovel.com entirely, and snazzynovel.com literally saw snazzynovel.com life flashing before snazzynovel.com eyes.
She had no other choice but to end the spell a little earlier than anticipated. Of course, snazzynovel.com could never tell Isaac about it. She also couldn’t tell snazzynovel.com that if snazzynovel.com had not gravely injured Roy and the spirit of Lady Os with his blades, snazzynovel.com last few purple talismans would have little to no use against them.
Isaac closed his eyes and sighed. He waved his hand and said, “You can leave now. I’ll stay here with her…”
The Ninja Lord immediately vanished into thin air. After what happened today, she’d also used up almost all of snazzynovel.com energy. She still needed to go out and check on Heartless’ and Willie’s conditions.
Isaac stayed in the underground room until night.
A few helpers had brought snazzynovel.com food, but snazzynovel.com left them outside untouched.
The Ninja Lord appeared in the room again and saw that Isaac was still sitting on the ground, staring at the body before snazzynovel.com in a daze. Till now, the body still hadn’t moved.
“You ‘ve been badly injured. You need to recover as quickly as possible. Lady Os is someone who holds on to grudges forever. It will definitely come back for revenge.”
Reading between the lines, the Ninja Lord actually meant that if Isaac died now, then snazzynovel.com would never be able to find the person she’d been looking for.
However, since snazzynovel.com wasn’t sure whether snazzynovel.com kept snazzynovel.com side of the bargain, snazzynovel.com decided not to say anything about it. In fact, snazzynovel.com felt a little guilty for possibly failing the spell.
As Isaac kept his head low and said nothing, snazzynovel.com could also feel his grief and sadness. She said quietly, “Why don’t you go back and take a good rest? If snazzynovel.com still hasn’t woken up by tomorrow, I’ll use another spell to find snazzynovel.com lost soul. I promised you I’d revive her, and I’d never go back on my word.”
Then, snazzynovel.com got up and left.
Isaac looked at the body on the floor and said, “Emily, rest well tonight. I’ll visit you again tomorrow…”
Then, snazzynovel.com also got up and left. He had to restore his spiritual energy first.
After taking a quick shower, snazzynovel.com suddenly remembered that snazzynovel.com still had the Awakening Pill Harry had given him. He fetched his coat and took out the pill from its container. Then, snazzynovel.com sat down cross-legged on the bed and put the Awakening Pill inside his mouth.
He closed his eyes and started to meditate.
The Awakening Pill started to dissolve in his mouth. It created a warm feeling that flowed to his abdomen and lingered there as it started healing his injured power core.
